Last updated: March 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the WMI platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Service Description
WMI is an event management platform that allows organizers to create and manage events, sell tickets, and communicate with attendees. Users may browse public events, register as attendees, submit registration forms, and manage their event history.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice where practicable.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features, you must register for an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- Keep your password secure and not share it with others.
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account credentials.
You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Send unsolicited commercial communications (spam) to other users or attendees.
- Engage in or facilitate any unlawful activity, including fraud, harassment, or collection of data without consent.
- Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or any code designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to systems.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service without our written permission.
- Attempt to circumvent any security, rate-limiting, or access-control measures.
Event organizers are responsible for ensuring that any data collected from attendees through registration forms complies with applicable privacy laws.
5. Intellectual Property
The WMI name, logo, and all software, designs, and content created by WMI are the exclusive property of WMI and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use WMI trademarks or branding.
Content you create or upload (event descriptions, profile information, etc.) remains your property. By submitting content to the Service, you grant WMI a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and transmit that content solely as necessary to operate the Service.
6. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time from Settings → Security. We may suspend or terminate your account if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms or that continued access poses a risk to the Service or other users.
Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 5, 7, and 8) will continue to apply.
7. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WMI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to WMI in the twelve months preceding the claim or (b) $100 CAD.
8. Governing Law
WMI serves users in Canada and the United States. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Users in the United States acknowledge that certain consumer protection laws in their jurisdiction may also apply.
Any dispute arising under these Terms that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
